Norwell Public Schools
Our Norwell School systems are some of the
best in the state; Norwell's performance and
scores are even competitive with private
institutions. School Rating Systems have
ranked Norwell as 25th out of 331
Massachusetts School districts, placing our
schools in the top 10 percent.
Norwell is also known for its stellar high
school graduation rate (95-99%) each year. In
2006, Norwell's graduation rate was highest
on the South Shore.
Whether at the Elementary, Middle, or High
School level, Norwell demonstrates excellence
in all manners of teaching and learning.
Aside from scores, as a small community,
Norwell schools foster a welcoming
atmosphere. Students know each other like
family, and treat each other in a way that
inspired Caitlin's quote above.

Norwell Education Foundation
The Norwell Education Foundation is a local group that raises money each
year to fund grants requested by teachers in the Norwell School system.
The group's charter purpose is "to promote academic excellence in the
Norwell schools".
Grants are awarded on a competitive basis, based on a variety of factors.
Some of the criteria used by the Board in distributing grant dollars include:
1. Number of students affected
2. Creativity
3. Duration of use
